Barbara Slavkin has been an interior designer for over 20 years specializing in custom home and residential design for private clients and display home merchandising.

Barbara’s projects have been published in numerous local, regional and national trade and general interest publications including The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, The Business Journal and St. Louis Homes and Lifestyles. Frequently cited as an authority of interior design trends, Slavkin is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers; a member of the international Color Marketing Group; serves on the advisory committee at St. Louis Community College-Meramec and is a founding member of the 50+ Housing Council of the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater St. Louis. She is a graduate of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana and holds a degree in interior design.

Barbara regularly provides guest commentary on local television programs. Her firm is the only local interior design firm accepted into the Color Marketing Group, the international organization that selects the colors, patterns and fabrics to be popularized in the years ahead. Barbara has also been an active participant in the Home Builders Association of Greater St. Louis providing seminars throughout the years on the topic of design trends as well as design for active adults and universal design.
